# Customizing Customer-Facing Documents
in ERS
This article provides an overview of the various customer-facing documents in ERS and how to customize them to suit your business needs.

## Thank You Page
The **Thank You Page** is displayed to customers after they finalize their order. To edit this page:
- Click **Edit**.
- Modify the default message:
*"Thank you for your order. We at {setting company name} will call you the evening before your event with a delivery time, which may be up to several hours early on our busy days..."*
### Merge Fields
Orange boxes in the editor are **merge fields**. These automatically pull data from your system, such as company name or order details. For example:
- `[setting company name]` displays your company name.
- `[area store receipt]` shows the customer's order summary.
To remove a merge field, click it and press the **Delete** button.

## Formatting Options
You can customize the appearance of your documents using the formatting toolbar:
- **Bold**, *Italic*, and _Underline_ text
- Change **font size**, **font type**, and **text color**
- Select from preset colors or choose a custom color

## Adding Merge Fields
To insert a new merge field:
1. Click where you want to place the field.
2. Click the **Add Merge Field** button.
3. Choose from available fields such as:
- Company Info (e.g., company name, address)
- Order Details
- Customer Information

## Contract Pages
ERS includes two contract pages:
- **Contract Page 1**: Contains general terms and conditions.
- **Contract Page 2**: Includes customer signature, date/time, and printed name.
You can edit or replace the default contract templates.

## Quote Document
The **Quote Document** is sent to customers when you provide a quote. It includes:
- Pre-filled information from your system
- A link for customers to finalize their order and reserve inventory

## Receipt Bottom Document
Sent immediately after the invoice, this document includes:
- Confirmation of payment or order submission
- A merge field link for customers to complete payment if needed
---
## Payment Header
This document reminds customers to complete payment to reserve inventory. It may include:
- A message prompting payment
- Images of accepted payment methods
---
## Cancellation and Rain-Check Documents
- **Cancel Document**: Sent when an order is canceled, confirming the cancellation.
- **Rain-Check Document**: Notifies customers that part of their payment is saved for future use.

## Quick Quote
Similar to the Quote Document, but generated through a different quoting process.

## Auto Message Do Not Send List
Use this document to exclude customers from promotional emails:
1. Click **Edit**.
2. Add the customer's email address.
3. If you need to add mutilple emails separate them with a comma and a space
(EX: email@gmail.com, email2@outlook.com)
4. Click **Submit**.
Customers will still receive order-related emails.

Once you've reviewed and customized your documents, click the **Approve Documents** button to finalize changes.
